A family affair.....
Coming from the world of whitewater kayaking and surfing, Stand Up Paddling was a pretty natural fit for Matt when he first saw it in Malibu about 2001. Haley also fell in love with the ease and simplicity of SUP, and as our family has grown we've found it to be a wonderful way to be active outdoors with our children. Both Brighton and Jace, at 12 and 5 years old respectively, paddle their own boards, and paddle them well! As our love for the sport grew we realized that the Central Coast area of California in which we live had no resources for this new sport. Thus Central Coast Stand Up Paddling was born, in Morro Bay, the heart of SLO County and the central coast. Blessed with a great climate and an abundance of paddling opportunities from mild to wild our location is the best around to try out SUP for your first time (at one of our demos or right off our own dock!)
